Three Hennebery Eddy projects were recently recognized with significant industry awards.
The DJC Oregon TopProjects program honored PCC Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center (OMIC) within its secondary education category. The project, a progressive design-build collaboration with Mortenson Construction, prepares students through an apprenticeship model that prepares students for careers in advanced manufacturing. The facility, located in Scappoose, is a large manufacturing space with hands-on tech areas collaboration zones and is LEED Silver certified. Learn more about PCC OMIC.
Our PDX Concourse E Extension also received a TopProjects honor in the Public Parks/Spaces category. Designed in partnership with Fentress Architects and built by Skanska USA, the extension offers a distinctly Portland experience for travelers and Port employees, and incorporates significant sustainable design elements, contributing to its LEED Gold certification.
For the sixth year, Restore Oregon honored Hennebery Eddy’s historic preservation work with a DeMuro Award. Our modernization and rehabilitation of Jim Fisher Volvo, the landmark “green jewel” on Burnside, features the largest known installation of Vitrolite glass tile in the state. Detailed replacement of broken panels by R&H Construction, and the installation of a new corner neon blade sign reminiscent of historic signage.
