When a global commercial investment firm established a presence in Portland, Hennebery Eddy’s interior design team collaborated with Fennie+Mehl to provide local expertise renovating a historic Portland building into premier corporate office space. As the architect of record, Hennebery Eddy’s services included design development, construction documents, coordination with the Portland facilities permit program, and construction administration for the bank interior design project.

Located in the George Lawrence building downtown, the new office merges history with innovation. With decades of paint removed from the brick and beautiful turn-of-the century wood structure, our interior design celebrates the building’s history and good bones. Other details are highly attuned to the client’s distinct branding. The custom blackened steel at the mezzanine and stair mirrors the high level of customization the bank offers to its growing innovation economy clientele. The workspace design is engaging and highly contextual, reflecting the bank’s persona while honoring its new location in Downtown Portland.
