Our Firm
Hennebery Eddy Architects is a collaborative firm of architects and interior designers who together create responsive design solutions, rather than being tied to a specific style. Our team consistently pushes beyond a project’s programmatic requirements to design inspirational, environmentally conscious, and meaningful places in the community. In 2021, Hennebery Eddy of Portland merged with Comma-Q Architecture in Bozeman, and in 2022 we opened a Bend office — strengthening our ability to serve clients throughout the region from our locations in Oregon and Montana.

A Net-Positive Philosophy
We aspire to design net-positive spaces that positively reflect and respond to both the natural environment and the people who use them. The Architect 50 list has ranked Hennebery Eddy as one of the top sustainable design firms in the country.
How We Work & Play
We take design seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Hiking rain or shine, biking to work, office happy hours, or volunteering in our community…these are the fuel to keep our creativity burning. Our culture combines a healthy dose of workplace sustainability, serving our communities as a team, and having fun. We strongly believe that fostering such a culture develops camaraderie, stronger teams, and better work.

Regional Firm of the Year | 2018
Hennebery Eddy was honored to receive the 2018 Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects Northwest and Pacific Region (AIA NW+PR), which includes Oregon, Montana, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. This award recognizes excellence in design, practice, and contributions to the profession; a commitment to community engagement; and the creation of a culture and exceptional work environment to foster these achievements. The strength of our regional peer set makes this recognition humbling and reinforces our commitment to how we practice: collaboratively, rooted in our values, and continually striving to improve.
In Memoriam
Hennebery Eddy Architects was established in 1992 by partners Stephen J. Hennebery and Timothy R. Eddy, who established core values for the firm: innovative design, responsive service, and the obligation that staff take ownership in their work. After Steve’s sudden passing in November 1998, the firm continued in the spirit of its beginnings and looks forward to a future of which he would be proud. Thank you, Steve, for the perception and sensitivity with which you endowed the firm.
