“Montana’s natural beauty and its people are incredibly important to me. As an architect I work hard to shape the built environment so both can thrive.”

Ben founded Comma-Q Architecture in 1993, which merged with Hennebery Eddy Architects in 2021. He is motivated by community-centered projects and good planning and design. A natural relationship builder, Ben brings the right people together to create successful teams and solutions — turning client visions, wants, and needs into beautiful and functional architecture. Ben’s approach is based on an understanding of context and history but is also influenced by patterns and forms. His work has strengthened the sense of place in communities and on campuses in Bozeman, Montana, and the Mountain West. He serves as the Vice President of Mountain Time Arts, a place-based art organization focused on the environment and Indigenous peoples, and he sits on the Bozeman Community Development Board, a citizen advisory board for planning, zoning, and design review. Ben earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Architecture at Montana State University.
