“I believe preserving our past is as important as building our future. I am passionate about continuing to find new and creative ways to support owners, communities, and advocates in sustaining the viability and vitality of the existing places that matter most to them.”
Carin’s two decades of experience has focused on historic resources throughout the West, preserving and revitalizing significant places for federal and state agencies, private developers, and nonprofit advocacy groups. She guides clients in planning and implementing successful strategies for treatment and ongoing stewardship of their historic properties. Carin is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design and holds a Master of Science degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Oregon. She served eight years on the City of Portland Historic Landmarks Commission, and in 2019, Carin received the AIA Oregon Chapter Young Architect Award (for architects who’ve been licensed for less than 10 years).
