“I care very much about efficiency – of time, materials, energy, and space. Through the complex, messy process of architecture, we must continue to ask whether our design decisions can be smarter and how we can do more with less. Only through this distillation are we able to achieve these efficiencies and bring beautiful designs to life.”
A background in engineering influences Noah’s organized design approach and allows him to clearly define variables and constraints, work within reasonable bounds, and iterate design solutions. His project work includes renovations for the common areas of the historic Pittock Block office building in downtown Portland, a master plan for the Mount St. Helens Institute’s new outdoor school campus, and the design for a new Living Building nature center on an Illinois nature preserve. Noah coordinates Hennebery Eddy’s internship program. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.
