Rogue Community College Health Professions Center

To meet Southern Oregon’s growing demand for skilled healthcare providers, Rogue Community College’s new center includes instructional programs ranging from sterile processing to nursing and features cutting-edge technology and equipment. Designed to inspire the collaborative development of a prepared workforce, the facility allows students to learn in a variety of low-fi and high-fi simulated healthcare settings and work with actual patients in an operational dental hygiene clinic.

Flexible study and breakout spaces encourage team-based learning, with health professions programs intentionally mixed to breakdown academic silos. To facilitate easy wayfinding and foster a sense of place, the building was designed to capture views of Table Rock and Mount McLoughlin. A high-performing building envelope, passive shading, low-water landscape, and rooftop solar panels provide the college and community an efficient, low-maintenance, and long-lasting facility.

As lead designer, Hennebery Eddy partnered with local executive architect Kistler+Small+White on this 38,000-square-foot building. It joins the existing TRC Building and the recently renovated High-Tech Center (also designed by Hennebery Eddy and KSW) to finalize the first master plan phase for RCC’s Table Rock Campus near Medford.
